BEACON ASIA TOUR |
Join us in Kyoto at Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine Medical Innovation Center
Overview
Experience the full potential of live single-cell functional analysis and discover how researchers use Beacon technology to accelerate discoveries and unlock new insights.
Powered by advanced optofluidics, every Beacon instrument lets you track multimodal, time-resolved cellular responses in real timeโseamlessly pairing functional data with sequencing from the very same cell.
Explore Beacon Discoveryโข, our new benchtop platform that packs these powerful optofluidic capabilities into a more accessible and compact package.
Speakers

Edward Xu Han Ph.D.
Product Manager, Bruker Cellular Analysis
Edward Han joined Bruker Cellular Analysis (formally IsoPlexis and Berkeley Lights) in 2020 and works on the product management team focusing on single immune cell functional response applications on IsoSpark/IsoLight and Beacon platforms. He obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University under the mentorship of Dr. Laura Niklason. His research interests include immunology, oncology, drug development, and tissue engineering.

Prof. Takero Shindo
Associate Professor, Department of Hematology and Oncology, Research Institute for Radiation Biology and Medicine, Hiroshima University
Prof. Takero Shindo is originally from Hiroshima and graduated from Kyoto University's Faculty of Medicine. Concurrent with his hematology clinical work, he researched transplantation immunology at Kyoto University and later held postdoctoral fellowships at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami. Following positions at Saga University and Kyoto University, he joined Hiroshima University in 2023. His expertise lies in transplantation immunology, with a focus on histocompatibility antigens and intracellular signaling.

Keisuke Ohta Ph.D.
